When I say I wasn't serious, what Joyce Meyer mean by that is I wasn't willing to sacrifice anything or give anything up in order to go on with God. You all just look too excited. Amen? Amen.: I'd like us to start in 1 Peter 5:8. It says "be well balanced" and the amplified bible says "temperate, which means disciplined, sober of mind:, which means serious, vigilant, which means determined, and cautious which means careful, at all times. Not once in awhile. Not once or twice. At all times. How long? As long as you're breathing. vs. 8: For that enemy of yours, the devil, roams around like a lion roaring [in fierce hunger,] seeking someone to seize upon and devour.
You have to understand that God has a plan for your life but so does the devil. Joyce Meyer Ministries states that we have to make sure that we're on God's side and we have to make sure that we are individually listening to God, that we are receiving correction from the Holy Spirit, that we're receiving the chastisement of God, that when we know that God doesn't approve of something, it doesn't take him six months to talk us into changing but we're very serious. We need more reverential fear of God; not afraid of God in a wrong way, but we need to realize that Jesus is coming back and that we will stand before God and we will give an account of our lives, what we've done with them, our resources, our gifts, our talents, our time.

Chance for a Brand New Life
Dave and Joyce were so touched by the bulrushes in southern Uganda that Joyce Meyer Ministries is now partnering with Watoto to build a facility in war-torn northern Uganda where many children are struggling to survive.
Joyce Meyer says this is Oscar. He's a special little boy, and we wanted you to have an opportunity to meet him. Right now his mother is living out on the streets. She has five children who have already
Died from neglect and starvation. But because this home is here, Oscar has a chance for a brand-new life and a wonderful life. You can help us not only help Oscar but make this same opportunity available for many other children here in Uganda. I'm asking you to get involved, send your most generous gift to help Oscar and other children just like him. You can be involved. You can be part of it. And I believe it will bring joy to your heart and put a smile on god's face. So do your very best -- that's all we ask. And remember if you're willing to support this work, then in reality you're here with us.
Joyce Meyer says well, Gary, we've been talking previously about the villages. And, of course, children are usually a little bit older when they come there. But really, the younger a child is when you get them and begin to help them, the easier that restoration is going to be. So, let's talk for a little bit first about the babies, which I think is something you've added even a little bit since the children's homes, right? You started with the children's homes and now you've added the babies.
Gary says, well, Marilyn and I were both moved by the fact that there were children who were born usually to a teenage mother who was afraid of an abortion so she gave birth to a live child and then threw the child away.
